theBythams | photo gallery | Little Bytham | Goods shed | Goods shed
This picture shows the inside of the disused goods shed at Little Bytham looking south. The entrance on the left would have been where goods would have been brought into the shed from wagons and other road vehicles, its doors being completely missing. To the right the entrance through which the rail line would have exited the building is evident. This entrance has at one time had two large doors fitted to it, these have since been cut to leave the bottom half completely open. Whether the doors were in place when the building was used as a railway goods shed or whether they have been added during a more recent use of the building is not clear.
