Minutes of the meeting held on 10 oct 2002 were read and approved
MATTERS ARISING ...
Village Hall Grant Application
Letter of support to Mr Hoyles in support of village hall's application
for a grant.
Powergen
Bill
The final electricity bill for the Brownie hut had yet to be received.
Millenium Spoons
Mrs Salisbury provided the number of 12 year old children in the Parish.
The remaining spoons were distributed with four to be sold at £2.35
each.
Dog Fouling
The Chairman had contacted the local authorities in Bourne to seek
advice and signs on the dog fouling problem. Additional signs had
been provided and the dog warden would visit the problem areas.
Brownie Hut
A working party was still needed to clean out the Brownie Hut.
It was noted that a filing cabinet to store archived Parish Council
papers would be useful
PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The following planning applications were approved without comment...
Mr and Mrs Rasell - extension to bungalow
GS Robinson (Builders) - first floor extension to Plot 1, St Medards
Close
GS Robinson (Builders) - two storey extension to Plot 3, St Medards
Close
The application by Spires Developers for a residential Development,
Old Station Yard, was discussed at length. Concerns were expressed
concerning the lack of detail for the location and dimensions for
each plot and what use the open land to the north could be used for.
It was unanimously agreed that the land should be screened and landscaped,
and not be allowed for storage, lorry parking or tipping. Comments
were passed to the Planning Authorities.
FINANCES
A cheque issued to Premier Trophies on 10 Oct 02 for £148.47
had not been presented and had been deemed lost. The cheque had been
stopped and a new one issued.
Audit Review
Moore
Stephens in Leicester had asked for clarification on the audit
figures.
GENERAL ITEMS
Highways
The footbridge and street light faults previously reported had been
fixed. One other street light was reported unserviceable and action
would be taken.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Brownie Hut
Mrs Murphy updated the meeting on the location of a Play Area for
the village, which was being sponsored by a lottery grant and Friends
of Little Bytham School. Within the Grimsthorpe Estate, an area which
was part of the Brick Yard Plantation, one acre of which was used
as the Stone Pit, had been agreed.
Minutes of Meetings
The Minutes of the last meetings had not been copied to The
Glenside News. It was agreed that they should be, but only after
they had been read and approved at the subsequent Parish Council meeting.
Old Station Yard
It was agreed to write to Mr Quentin Davies to update him on the new
proposed development at the Old Station Yard and to thank him again
for his support at the 17 May meeting.
The date of the next meeting was arranged for Thursday 5 December
2002 at 19.30
