broadband added 07/10/04

It's official theBythams area now has broadband. The local exchange in Castle Bytham was upgraded on the 1st September 2004.
 
 
archaeological walk around castle bytham added 27/07/04

With the permission of the Heritage Trust of Lincolnshire, we are pleased to be able to reproduce a guide written for an Archaeological Walk around Castle Bytham this year by Dan Ratcliffe. Dan was the Community Archaeologist for South Kesteven and led a walk around the village using the guide at the Midsummer Fair in June.
 
 
broadband added 09/05/04

Having achieved the target for interest in using Broadband, at long last BT have announced a date when theBythams are due to be connected to a Broadband service ... yiphee!

The date .. oh yeah ... 1st September 2004. And even that may be moved closer when the dyst has settled at BT and the review everything at the end of June.

As ever ... watch this space for further details.

phone mast added 03/05/04



Over the last few weeks the Orange telephone mast has been erected in Little Bytham. CLICK HERE for the full story in pictures.



castle bytham quarry development added 18/04/04



A proposal has been made that the Disused Quarry in Castle Bytham should be developed as an industrial estate.

If you have views on the matter, would like to see the plans and have the chance to discuss them then Castle Bytham Parish Council have arranged an open meeting on Wednesday 21 April 2004 in Castle Bytham Village Hall at 7.30pm.

spinney official opening day added 18/04/04



The Spinney in Little Bytham will have its official opening on Sunday 11 July. Work has been progressing steadily since the project started, with volunteers working on the site regularly again now the better weather has arrived. In the coming weeks play equipment is due to be installed.
