places : disused railways : gnr : little bytham goods shed

added 28/11/05

A view of the north facing end of the former goods shed in Little Bytham station. The opening through which the railway line entered the goods shed is as it was when it was in use. The entrance has been at one time, whether during its use as a good shed or not is uncertain, been fitted with a sliding and hinged door to allow it to be closed to traffic. The sliding door is still in tact (Feb 2004) and slid back against the inside of the end wall of the shed, the hinged door is missing but evidenced by hinges built into the wall at the right hand side of the opening as viewed in this picture.
