places : east coast mainline

added 27/04/03

Deltic 55002 "Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry" which is now part of the national collection based at the National Railway Museum in York (well, actually, at the moment it is in Wabtec in Doncaster as part of the work to get it out running again on the mainline - April 2003). It was painted in BR green (as seen in the photo) for its last year of service prior to entry to the museum. Shown in this picture travelling northbound on train 1L42 (12.05 Kings Cross to York)
