... WI Reports updated 02/10/03

local federation added 02/10/03

Castle Bytham and District WI is a member of the Lincolnshire South Federation of Womens Institutes'.

From the Lincolnshire South Federation website ...

" We are very much a rural federation in a county committed to large areas of diverse agriculture. There are WIs in our small traditional market towns, as well as WIs in the numerous villages and hamlets, where the heart of Lincolnshire lies with its many rural treasures.

We have representatives on many outside bodies such as Lincs Community Health Council, Lincs Food and Health Forum, Royal Agricultural Benevolent, Lincs County Council Education and Cultural Services, Adult Learners, Lincs and Rutland Lifelong Learning Partnership Leader and the Lincolnshire Fenland Local Action Group.

I like to think we are WI-Inspired and WI-Informed. A warm freindly welcome awaits you wherever you may be, do come and give us a try. The opportunities are endless. "

From the NFWI website ...

" NFWI is the largest national organisation for women in the UK with 230,000 members in England, Wales and the Islands.

The ideals of the Women's Institute of truth, justice, tolerance and fellowship are as strong and important now in the 21st century as they were at the birth of the WI in 1915.

The WI exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills. "
